Gov. Wolf says Schools are Not Closing

Gov. Tom Wolf took to Twitter today to respond to rumors that he’d be announcing a statewide school closure this fall. Wolf said, “I want to be clear: I am not closing school buildings or cancelling classes.” Wolf added that school governing boards and administrators will decide when and how their schools reopen. He said the best way to find out about the local decisions, is to contact your school board or administrators. Earlier this month, the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Department of Education Secretary Pedro Rivera announced updated guidance to help PA schools safely reopen for in-person learning.
