Two Altoona men have been arrested in connection with a burglary last Thursday at a home on Fourth Avenue. When police arrived, they found one of the men bleeding from a head wound. 59 year old Albert Marini and 51 year old Wayne Williams, each now face a string of charges, including burglary, criminal conspiracy to engage in burglary and criminal trespassing. Altoona Police say when they got there, they found Marini with blood streaming down his face. He told officers that someone inside the house hit him with a metal pipe. The victim told police that Marini kicked in her door, then pinned her to a wall, claiming she owed him money from a drug transaction. She said Marini said he was going to kill her. That’s when she claims she grabbed a metal pipe and hit Marini in the head once. Both Marini and Williams are now behind bars in the Blair County Prison, with cash bails set at $75,000 each.
