EMERGENCY LANDING ON PA TURNPIKE

Police are saying he is a very lucky pilot… A man walked away unhurt after landing his plane on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and then getting hit by tractor trailers. It happened at mile marker 258 between the Lebanon-Lancaster Exit 266 and the Harrisburg East Exit 247 Monday evening around 6:30. The plane reportedly was experiencing engine failure and the pilot had no choice but to make the emergency landing on the highway. Emergency crews were still working to remove a small plane from the westbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike around 9 last night. After it landed, the plane was hit by a tractor-trailer that pushed it into a snowbank, then was hit in the back by another tractor-trailer. Amazingly, despite all of that, there were no injuries.
