‘VIRTUAL’ THON RAISES MORE THAN $10.6 MILLION

This year, it was a challenge, but the fundraiser was still successful… The 2021 Penn State Dance Marathon, better known as THON, wrapped up its virtual event Sunday, raising a total of $10,638,078.62 for Four Diamonds for pediatric cancer research. THON Weekend this year, took place over a 46-hour live-stream featuring many of the events that usually take place live and in person at THON, including line dances, performances and the annual pep rally. THON is the largest student run philanthropy in the world. Each year it raises millions of dollars for pediatric cancer research and to support children and families fighting childhood cancer.
