4 THREATENED AT GUNPOINT – COALPORT MAN FACING LIST OF CHARGES

4 people were threatened at gunpoint back in November, and now… after an investigation… a Coalport man is facing felony charges. State Police say the men offering free home improvement estimates in his neighborhood, when 47 year old John Ruffaner got a little upset when they came knocking on the door and ringing his doorbell. Police say he took off after them, and when he found them, he pulled his vehicle in front of them to block them in, then got out of his vehicle with a handgun, and pointed it at them… yelling and swearing at them… and asking who they were and telling them to stay out of Coalport. After that, police say he got back in his vehicle and left. Ruffaner later admitted to troopers some of it happened, but he denied having a handgun at the time. He also does not have a concealed weapons license. But investigators say otherwise, and now Ruffaner is facing one felony count of having a firearm not to be carried without a license, four counts of simple assault, eight counts of disorderly conduct, four counts of harassment, and some traffic violations. For now, he is free on $10,000, unsecured bail.
