According to court documents, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied a petition of appeal filed by a former Philadelphia man, who was one of three people charged with murder in an Altoona homicide case from 2013. The appeal was filed on behalf of now 34-year-old Kashif Omar Ellis, who was one of three individuals charged in the murder of Stephen Hackney on July 13, 2013.
