The results of the spring 2021 drug take back event that was held last Saturday are in, and they are impressive. Blair County law enforcement agencies that participated want to thank the citizens of Blair County for making an incredible effort, that resulted in the collection of a total of 321 pounds of drugs… making our community safer. The Altoona Police were set up at Martin’s Food in Altoona, where they collected 5 boxes weighing in at 88.5 lbs. The Blair County Sheriff’s Office collection site was at the Blair County Courthouse in Hollidaysburg, and they collected 7 boxes weighing 121 lbs. Freedom Township Police collected old drugs at Walmart in Duncansville, and came away with 3 boxes weighing 61 lbs. Martinsburg Borough Police collected 2 boxes weighing 50.5 lbs.
