Organizers for the Johnstown PolkaFest say the June dates for the event have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The festival is usually held at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Cambria City, but organizers say COVID-19 has caused ongoing planning challenges for large events. The PolkaFest has taken place since 1998 and officials say it’s considered one of the country’s best Polka Music festivals attracting about 10,000 people from multiple states throughout the weekend.
