On Monday morning, deputies of the Blair County Sheriff’s Office were called out to attend a scheduled landlord/tenant eviction at an apartment on Broad Street in Hollidaysburg Borough. Deputies attempted contact with the person inside at the door, but after not receiving any answer, the landlord authorized and provided deputies entry to the building to determine if the residence was empty. Once inside deputies found the male tenant in a room, suffering from a chest wound. They immediately called for an ambulance, Hollidaysburg Borough Police, and provided medical attention until EMS arrived. The man, whose name has not been released was taken to UPMC-Altoona for treatment. There has been no update on his condition and no other details have been released. The entire incident remains under investigation.
