Are you ready for some football??? If you are a football fan, this could be something big! An NFL team may soon be headed to Beaver Stadium. While many in the area have been trying for years to get the Eagles or the Steelers to use Beaver Stadium, now is appears a team is actually considering it… but not the team you may think. According to some sources, the Buffalo Bills are now considering both Penn State and Toronto as potential temporary homes if their plans to construct a new stadium don’t come to fruition before their current lease expires in 2023. While the Bills’ proposed new facility could be ready by as early as 2025, that would still leave a year without a home for the team if its current lease remains unchanged. According to some reports, the Bills have narrowed down their options to Toronto and Penn State based on the distance between each of them and Buffalo, New York. Toronto may have a slight advantage though… a trip from Buffalo to Beaver Stadium is a bit more than three and a half hours, whild a trip to Toronto from Buffalo is about two hours. But on the other side, Bills owner Terry Pegula is a graduate of Penn State, who has already donated more than $88 million to help construct Pegula Ice Arena which brought the Penn State men’s hockey team to the national stage.
