Pennsylvania’s universal mask mandate was officially finally lifted this morning at one minute past midnight. It’s been more than one year since Pennsylvanians started wearing face coverings and now, they are getting a breath of fresh air. Effective today, all Pennsylvanians, vaccinated or not, are no longer required to wear a mask, and many say they are more than ready to take their masks off and show their smiles. Many people say they believe everyone is ready to get back to life as it was, but some say they still plan to continue covering their nose and mouth… which they of course, are free to do if they wish. They are just no longer required to do so. Many businesses are excited about it, saying as more workplaces get people back to work, downtown areas will see a lot more activity.
