A Claysburg man is behind bars this morning following the shooting death of his brother over the weekend. State Police arrested 41 year old Larry Claar, who they say shot his brother, 45 year old Michael Claar… also of Claysburg… around 4:30 Saturday afternoon in Kimmel Township, Bedford County. Troopers say after he killed his brother, Larry Claar then took the body to a nearby field and covered it with dirt in an attempt to conceal it. They say he also tried to clean the crime scene and the vehicles used to transport his brother’s dead body. Larry Claar is now facing charges including homicide, first and third degree murder, aggravated assault, simple assault, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse. He is being held in the Bedford County Correctional Facility without bail.
