Yesterday, an inmate at the Blair County Prison walked away from a community work detail at Fairview Cemetery at around 7:45 pm. William Lynn Hampton, Jr. who goes by the nickname “Billy”, is a white 41 year old male from Tyrone. He was serving an 11 ½ – 23 month prison sentence for a parole violation. Anyone with information on Hampton’s whereabouts should contact the Altoona Police Department.
