ROAD WORK COULD DISRUPT TRAVEL NEXT WEEK

THE 25TH AVENUE RESURFACING PROJECT IS UNDERWAY IN ALTOONA, AND BEGINNING ON MONDAY, ROAD MILLING AND PAVING WILL BE DONE FROM JUNIATA GAP ROAD TO BROADWAY. THE WORK IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST. TRAFFIC CONTROLS AND FLAGGERS WILL BE IN PLACE WITH ONE LANE OPEN TO TRAFFIC THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT. IF YOU TRAVEL THROUGH THAT AREA, EXPECT TO EXPERIENCE TRAFFIC DELAYS, AND REMEMBER TO DRIVE SAFELY THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION SITE, TO ADJUST YOUR TRAVEL SCHEDULE, AND FINALLY… USE ALTERNATE TRAVEL ROUTES IF POSSIBLE. THE WORK IS WEATHER DEPENDENT, SO IF THE WEATHER DOESN’T COOPERATE, THE PROJECT WILL LIKELY BE EXTENDED BEYOND WEDNESDAY.
