A UPMC Altoona nurse is facing felony drug charges. 36 year old Tiffany Wissinger of Indiana, PA is charged with administration of a controlled substance without a physician’s order; recklessly endangering another person; and failure to keep records. State investigators say Wissinger put a patient’s life at risk back in June, when she gave the sedative Propofol to a patient who had been restless during an MRI. They say a witness overheard her saying, “You did not see this” and “This is how Michael Jackson died,” when she injected the sedative into the patient’s IV line. Wissinger is no longer employed at UPMC. She was arraigned Friday and then released for now, on an unsecured $15,000 bail.
