Altoona Mayor Matt Pacifico announced the 12th annual Small Business Saturday, taking place this Saturday November 27th. It’s held the Saturday between Black Friday and Cyber Monday dedicated to supporting the independent businesses that help to create jobs, make our city unique and boost the local economy. It is the ceremonial kickoff to the holiday shopping season for small businesses across the country. An estimated $19.8 Billion dollars was spent by consumers who shopped or dined at local independently-owned businesses on Small Business Saturday.
