Pennsylvania is expected to recieve $4 billion in new federal money for the Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act for roads and bridges. PennDOT has a list of 170 projects they plan to use the money from the Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act for. They say they want this money to impact the greatest amount of people. PennDOT had a tough decision in how they were going to spend the money. Nine interstate bridges need replaced around the Commonwealth including the South Bridge that connects Harrisburg and Cumberland County. There is a project in the works to turn them into toll bridges. According to the project website it would cost about $1 to $2 per car.
