This weekend, the staff at the Railroaders Memorial Museum, in Altoona, will be hosting an event to honor our nation’s veterans. The event is called “Soldiers and Switchmen,” and it will focus on how railroading impacted each world conflict that America was involved in. Visitors, and veterans alike, will have the opportunity to interact with their living historians. They will have weapons, uniforms, equipment, all of these things that kind of make history more immersive and educational. The event runs Saturday and Sunday, November 13 and 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission is $12 for adults, with a discount for military personnel.
