Rep.Rigby Leads Way on KOZ

A bipartisan effort led by state Rep. Jim Rigby to expand growth opportunities in Cambria County was rewarded with the awarding of a special Keystone Opportunity Zone for use in spurring economic growth in underdeveloped areas. Rigby adding,
“Things get done when we meet in the middle and securing this KOZ meant ignoring party politics and working as a group, I’m just glad we could get this done for the future of Cambria County.” KOZs are used to develop a community’s abandoned, unused or underutilized land and buildings into business districts. Local governments do not have to have secured projects or announce specified intentions when applying for a KOZ.
