Court documents are revealing new details about what led to a standoff between a woman and state police in Bedford County over the weekend. According to a criminal complaint filed by state police, 57-year-old Catherine Imler is facing charges related to burglary, criminal trespassing and theft. Troopers say the incident began around 1:30 p.m. Saturday when a man was washing dishes in his Bloomfield Township home and he spotted Imler, who was completely naked, approaching his back door. According to the complaint, the man then heard his door receive several hard blows. She broke in, too a shotgun, then Imler then went inside her own home along Lafayette Road. Eventually, troopers say Imler was taken into custody and transported to UPMC Altoona where she was treated for self-inflicted sword wounds.
