Johnstown Says it Will Respond

Six homicides in the City of Johnstown so far this year, three of them in a span of 94 hours, has created a lot of concern in the community. Since Friday, Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees has ruled three deaths as homicides, one a case of child abuse, and two shootings on consecutive days. Lees said, “I am gravely concerned.” City council members, at an unrelated special council meeting Tuesday, expressed sadness and a vow to change. Johnstown councilwoman Marie Mock said, “I’ve been personally communicating with everybody about this and there will be a response. “
