Authorities have identified the woman hit and killed by a car while trying to cross Scalp Ave. Tuesday morning. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees says 43-year-old Michelle Gilliland, of Johnstown, was hit by a car near the 1100 block of Scalp Ave. at 8:53 a.m. Lees says Gilliland had just left McDonald’s and was trying to cross the road to catch the bus when she was struck by the vehicle and thrown 60 feet.
