Three houses caught fire in Clearfield County Wednesday night, prompting a response from multiple fire companies. There were more than 100 firefighters called to the scene of the second alarm fire along the 100 block of Wilson Avenue near Dubois around 6:30 PM. Initial calls for a working structure fire came, with nearly a dozen trucks making their way to the scene. two firefighters get treated, transported, and treated at Penn-Highlands DuBois, and one firefighter got treated on scene. The cause of the blaze is under investigation. The Red Cross will work with affected residents to assess needs and provide for emergency assistance including shelter, clothing, and food as well as recovery support in the days and weeks to come.
