The Emily Whitehead Foundation, a local pediatric cancer non-profit, will host a Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot at Cold Stream Dam & Recreation Park in Philipsburg on Thursday, November 24. The Philipsburg community has already been incredibly supportive. The We Are Inn stepped in to sponsor event t-shirts, which will be available to the first 30 participants to register online. The foundation has received donations from several more local businesses as well to support event costs and provide prizes to Turkey Trot participants. The Turkey Trot will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning. Participants will meet at the amphitheater and follow a course “over the river and through the woods”.
Registration is $20.00 and will directly support the Emily Whitehead Foundation’s mission to fund less toxic cancer treatments for children.
