FORMER PENN STATE AND ALTOONA FOOTBALL STANDOUT FACING ASSAULT CHARGES

A former Penn State and Altoona Area High School football standout has been arrested. According to ESPN, Kevin Givens has been charged with second-degree assault for allegedly attacking a man in Baltimore, Maryland. Reports say Givens, who just finished up his second season with the San Francisco 49ers where he has played in 13 games over those two seasons, is involved in an incident that is said to have happened back on February 22nd. The victim… Hayden Bosley… says he suffered a dislocated shoulder, a black right eye, bruises above his left ear and minor skin scrapes after being attacked by Givens. The charge is serious… If Givens is convicted, he could be looking at up to 10 years in prison and/or a $2,500 fine. He is due next in court on April 26.
