Pennsylvania’s spring primary election takes place next Tuesday, when voters will cast ballots in municipal contests, school board races, county elections and judicial races. Voters will also weigh in on proposed amendments to Pennsylvania’s constitution. Polling places open at 7 a.m. and they must stay open until 8 p.m. — and longer if needed to enable everyone who was in line by 8 p.m. to vote. Pennsylvanians can also vote by mail, although May 11 was the deadline for requesting a mail-in ballot. If you haven’t already requested a mail-in ballot, you’ll need to vote in person at this point. Note that if you did choose to vote by mail, your ballot must be received by your county election office by 8 p.m. on May 18. If it comes in later, it won’t count — even if it was postmarked by May 18.
