A man from Roaring Spring was arrested after police say he tried to sell heroin to a confidential informant. 32 year old John Giselman is now facing felony charges including drug possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility. Police say as Giselman was being arrested, his girlfriend, 33 year old Ashley Avery, yelled at them and grabbed an officer’s arm. She too was then arrested after officers found her in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Avery also faces felony charges including retaliation against a witness or victim, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. Now, both Avery and Giselman are behind bars in the Blair County Prison after being unable to post cash bail of $20,000 and $80,000 respectively.
