MURDER SUSPECT FROM NORTH CAROLINA SHOOTS HIMSELF TO DEATH IN ADAMS COUNTY

A murder suspect from North Carolina is dead after shooting himself when Pennsylvania State Police closed in on him Wednesday afternoon. It happened yesterday around 3pm, when troopers found the man’s vehicle in Adams County after learning that he was in the area, and began chasing him. Police put down spike strips which finally stopped the vehicle, but the driver ran away on foot. Taylor Johnson was accused of attempted homicide in North Carolina, and after he ran, there was a 5-hour search before officers encountered him. That’s when Johnson pulled out his own weapon and shot himself. Nobody else was hurt. As of last night, State Police continued the investigation into whether or not Johnson had any connection to Pennsylvania. Police say he was in his early 20’s.
