Numbers Going in Right Direction

The numbers are starting to trend downward as The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported an increase of 3,934 new coronavirus cases in the state Monday, bringing the statewide total to 807,867. There were an additional 55 deaths. There were 45 more cases in Blair County. 283 new cases in our area.

PUA Payments to Resume

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry announced today that the payments for the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program in the new federal CARES Act extension are resuming. This includes workers who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 and are not typically eligible for other unemployment compensation programs. This includes gig workers, freelancers, and self-employed workers.

COVID Deaths Continue to Spike

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported an increase of 5,338 new coronavirus cases in the state Friday, bringing the statewide total to 794,172.
