First Case of Monkeypox at PSU

Officials with the Pennsylvania Department of Health have confirmed the first case of monkeypox at Penn State’s University Park campus. According to a press release from the university, a student tested positive for the virus on Aug. 13. University officials say the student lives off-campus and is isolating and recovering.
