Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate dropped to a new post-pandemic low and the labor force shrank in July as payrolls jumped by nearly 29,000, according to state figures released today. Couple Charged with Child Endangerment

According to Somerset County District Attorney Jeff Thomas, a Paint Township couple was convicted Tuesday of felony child endangerment. Eric and Nicole Barkman were arrested in May of last year after authorities found their home in “deplorable condition.” Troopers say five children, ranging from ages 1 to 12, were taken from the home.
