APD Introduces New K9 Officers

On Tuesday morning, the Altoona Police Department held a press conference to announce the addition of two K9 units to the force. “Operation Our Town” donated the funding to offset the initial startup costs of the K9 program. The two dogs, named Blue and Pongo, are brothers.

Altoona Police Arrested Man with Over $113,000 Worth of Drugs

Multi-Vehicle Crash Sunday

A multi-vehicle crash sent one person to the hospital and temporarily closed part of State Route 322 in Philipsburg Sunday morning. Fire crews worked to extract a trapped passenger who was then transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Another person was checked out by EMS but did not need to be transported.
