PA COVID-19 Death Toll Now Over 20,000

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported an increase of 5,664 new coronavirus cases in the state Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 788,834. There were also 260 more coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Pennsylvania’s death toll to 20,128. Blair County reported 48 cases and one new death.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported an increase of 5,341 new coronavirus cases in the state today, bringing the statewide total to 777,186. Officials also reported 77 more coronavirus-related deaths. Three-hundred twenty-six new cases and nineteen more deaths were reported in our area. Blair County reporting 40 new cases and two more deaths.

Pennsylvania is seeing another spike in new positive COVID-19 cases. The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported more than four-thousand new cases yesterday. Eighty more people have also passed away due to “complications of the coronavirus.” The positivity rate though, dropped by about two-percent last week.
