Altoona Pair Accused in Felony Forgery Case

An Altoona duo is behind bars after being accused of passing fake $100 bills at multiple Sheetz stores and even to a couple of pizza delivery guys. According to court documents, 26-year-old Emonee Peterson and 28 -year-old Myesha Denise Robinson were charged with multiple counts of felony forgery charges.

An Altoona brother-sister duo was arrested and charged after being accused of threatening two landlords with a knife and trying to break down the backdoor of a residence. Court documents show that 21-year-old Kenneth Dunn and his sister, 19-year-old Madison Dunn, are facing charges.

Teens Charged in Altoona Mugging

A 19-year-old Tyrone teen named Cameron Walters was arrested on his birthday with two other underage teens for reportedly mugging another group of teens in Altoona. Walters was arraigned this morning and placed in Blair County Prison with bail set at $35,000. The names of the other two was not released.

Blair Co. Coroner to Retire

Blair County Coroner Patricia Ross formally announced her retirement after three decades of service in front of friends, family, and Blair County officials Wednesday night at the US Hotel Tavern in Hollidaysburg. Ross says she’ll remain in office until the end of her term this year.

AASD Approves Semi-Automatic Weapons for Police Force

The Altoona Area School Board voted at their meeting Tuesday evening to approve a policy amendment that allows their police force to carry semi-automatic patrol rifles. They said that the school campus is too large for them to defend in a crisis scenario with their current weapons.
