Firefighter Killed in Car VS. Pedestrian Accident

Investigators in Huntingdon County say a 66-year-old man was killed this morning in a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in Union Township. Authorities say the pedestrian, identified as Kurt Keilhofer, a member of the Mapleton Fire Department.

Altoona Teen Charged along with Juveniles

An Altoona teen was charged over Thanksgiving weekend after he and a group of juveniles allegedly broke into a duplex and started fires inside. Eighteen year old Robert Macak Jr. was arraigned Nov. 27 and placed in Blair County Prison where he is being held on $75,000 bail.

100 Bitcoin Computers Stolen in Somerset Township

Roaring Sprng Man Sentenced in Meth Case

A Roaring Spring man was sentenced Tuesday to serve multiple decades in prison after he pleaded guilty to trafficking a large amount of meth into Blair County in 2021. Jayme Walter, 43, was sentenced to serve a minimum of 32 years.

Johnstown City Council Protests Continue

Protests continued at the Johnstown City Council on Monday against the disbursement of ARPA funds. Representatives from Jefferson Memorial Church showed up again to the meeting in order to protest a decision made by the city to deny them funds from the $30.5 million federal American Rescue Plan Act.
